Alive & Well, and just…well

20 August, 2006 at 7:58 pm (Cats, knitting)

Just a bundle of stuff happening lately. I see it’s over a month since I’ve posted, good grief.

SSK! is going rather well for a new group. We soon being meeting twice monthly. Looks like we’ve got a core group now, and “fringe” folk coming then not to be seen again. Pity. I’d love to see people regularly. But I understand that other people have busy schedules too. So I’m honoured that they’ve come at least once, and hope they can again.

Precious Child and hubby have just celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Happy Anniversary, kids! Love and hugs! Many years of happiness to you!

My last One Skein SP gift arrived several days ago. It’s absolutely delightful. I’m tickled over my SP-she’s a treat. Now I have a real name, and hilariously she’s not based in Colorado as I’d gathered by the return labels on her packages. She’s in Oregon! Ha! Had me fooled.

Anyway, have a look:

last giftnotecardsNow I’m trying to figure the best way to show off my clutch. Isn’t it fine? Since I haul knitting everywhere, I think I’d show it off best if I pack a credit card, a fin, and a few SIPs. It should easily hold two socks so I can have variety. Don’t need anything else.

I just happen to have a ton of social correspondence to catch up on, so the note cards are ideally timed. And they look like something I’d select myself. Eerie how Emily seems to know just how I think.

And the yarn. Oh the gorgeous yarn. I’ve got plans for this baby…

THANK YOU, EMILY!

Then I received an email from the One Skein folks, calling for angels for those whose SP’s had fallen from the earth.  Doubting I’d get to be one, I responded anyway.  Lucky me-I got chosen as an angel!  I just wasn’t ready for this to be over.  It’s been a blast.  I’ve been assigned a charming, wacky gal, too.

On the home front.

If you were to pick either numeral 5 or numeral 7, which would you choose?

I chose 7.

Here they are. Actually, they’re 6 and 7. I present to you~

The Boys.
