Finished!
Knitting
It’s been a very long time since I posted anything at all about knitting. So, here are some bits I’ve been working on.
EZ’s Baby Bog Jacket, from Knitting Around.
I had a poo-load of Patons Classic Wool Merino from a failed attempt to knit up a half-dozen pairs of fulled mittens as Christmas gifts a few years ago. I couldn’t find a way to full the damn things in such a way as to not full front forever inseparable to back. So here the eye-searing colours sat in the back of the linen cabinet until I decided it was high time to knit a little quickie thing for the baby. I began Hallowe’en weekend and only just got it off the needles last week. I’ll have the ends woven in and the jacket washed and neatly blocked and on my Grandbaby before this weekend is out. I’d read of someone’s Baby Bog jacket project that lasted one Sunday start to finish. One.Single.Sunday. Whoa, stud.
Here is my wonderful Entrelac Purse, an Oat Couture Pattern, made up of Noro Silk Garden. I love the colours but despise having paid so much for such a poorly-spun yarn. Since Silk Garden is so full of colours I skipped the second yarn altogether, relying on this to make its own look. It’s an excellent yarn for entrelac, no matter how wretched its manufacture. Once the Baby Bog Jacket is finished, blocked and dispatched to my granddaughter, I’ll finish the strap and assemble the purse. I plan to full it a bit before use.
Here’s a little something that I actually finished. It only took a year:
It’s the Marsan Watchcap and a coordinating neckwarmer.
Their story is on this page.

Four Eyes
Recently I noticed that my tabbies’ markings look like eyes-directly above their real eyes. Can you see them too?
They’re especially noticeable on Tuie. See?
And Aslan:
And Splash:
It’s kind of visible on Fionn, too:
Need a closer view? Maybe a greyscale would be clear:
It looks spooky with hairs coming right out of them!
I wonder what they can see with those eyes?
